Many have attributed the health problems that we may live in the west wall. We too often fill our days with work and leave little time for reflection, meditation or slow in general. Many Eastern philosophies have long appreciated the art of slowing down. Americans would be wise to take note of the advantages of both physical and mental, come from this art.
There are many different ways that you actually slower in Eastern philosophy. Tai Chi is very good as a practice, the slow movements of the body and a known element emphasizes meditative. Slightly less well known but still very popular Chinese qigong meditative practice. This is an internal discipline, the slow graceful movements used (and sometimes breathing techniques), the distribution of “qi” or “life force” in the human body to promote. Assume for the general practitioner’s health is improved. Although often confused with Tai Chi or martial arts, it is actually very popular.
